Building a personal brand isn’t just about amassing thousands of followers or becoming a social media influencer—it’s about something far deeper and more meaningful. True personal branding is about becoming so profoundly skilled and knowledgeable in your field that people see you as the go-to expert, the person they trust and turn to for insights, solutions, and leadership. While social media numbers may bring visibility, they don’t guarantee credibility. Real influence comes from deep technical expertise, consistent value creation, and a relentless pursuit of mastery. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a professional, or a creator, your personal brand should be built on a foundation of knowledge, authenticity, and the ability to solve real problems for people.

I've been reflecting on one major trend from last year that I feel will be hard to ignore in 2025: Gen Z’s relationship with brands and social media. This generation doesn’t just consume content, they drive it. And they do so with a level of authenticity and transparency that demands our attention. For Gen Z, brand loyalty isn’t built on flashy ads or influencer endorsements alone. It’s about values. It’s about knowing what the brand stands for and aligning with causes they care about: be it sustainability, inclusivity, or social justice. Here’s how I’ve been thinking about this shift as an entrepreneur: For Gen Z, being true to themselves is really important. They want brands that embrace uniqueness and support personal expression. To connect with them, we need to be authentic and offer products and messages that let them express who they really are. Social Media is the New Word of Mouth: If you’re not engaging in the conversations Gen Z is having on social media, you’re missing out. They trust their peers and online communities more than traditional advertising, and their feedback is immediate and powerful. Experience Over Projection: For this generation, it’s not just about seeing an ad but engaging with a brand in a meaningful way. Whether through personalized experiences, interactive campaigns, or exclusive content, creating a connection is more valuable than ever. Gen Z is not just shaping the future of business but is redefining what it means to build loyalty and trust. Is your brand ready for this shift?

One day, a friend casually asked me, "What am I even getting from posting on LinkedIn if I’m not able to get more followers?" I get it — putting effort into creating content and seeing little growth can feel pointless. But here’s the mindset shift: Your LinkedIn presence isn’t just about numbers. It’s about value, visibility, and credibility. Here’s why posting on LinkedIn still matters — even if your follower count doesn’t skyrocket: 📍𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 Even if your posts don’t blow up, people notice your consistency. When you share insights regularly, you build a reputation as someone who’s committed to their craft. Trust builds credibility, and that credibility opens doors — sometimes in ways you won’t immediately see. 📍𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 Your posts become your digital portfolio. When someone checks your profile, they see not just your resume but your thought process, skills, and perspectives. You might not get followers immediately, but you’re leaving a trail of proof that you’re engaged and insightful. 📍𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 High follower count doesn’t equal meaningful connections. Sometimes, one thoughtful comment from a decision-maker is worth more than 100 likes from strangers. Focus on quality interactions over numbers. 📍𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝘄𝗻 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 The more you post, the clearer your voice becomes. You start articulating your thoughts better, sharing ideas more confidently, and becoming someone people recognize for your unique take. 📍𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 — 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗜𝘁 I’ve had people message me months after seeing a post, saying it stuck with them. Opportunities don’t always come right away — but consistent visibility pays off in the long run. The Takeaway: If you’re only posting to chase followers, you’ll burn out quickly. But if you’re posting to share value, express your ideas, and document your journey, you’ll build a stronger presence — even if the numbers take time. 𝗦𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿, “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁?” 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿: 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. 73% of people admit their online presence doesn’t represent who they truly are. Honestly? Yea! We live in a world where social media pushes us to be “marketable,” “polished,” and “always-on.” But guys—being seen ≠ being understood. My job? To fix that gap. Without losing the real “you.” Here’s how most business owners get it wrong. 👉 They think ‘professional’ means ‘boring.’ You don’t have to sound like a corporate robot to build authority. Your quirks? Your humor? They’re your superpowers. 👉 They focus too much on aesthetics. A great profile pic and sleek visuals are nice, but your words and stories are what build trust and connection. 👉 They struggle with consistency. Posting once in a blue moon won't make you memorable. Building an authentic online presence is like going to the gym—you’ve got to show up regularly. 👉 They copy trends instead of owning their voice. Trends fade. Your unique experiences? Timeless. Stop being a knockoff; start being the original. So, how do you fix it? Think of personal branding like a first date: 📍Be yourself (but the best version). 📍Show, don’t just tell. 📍Stay consistent but not repetitive. And most importantly—speak to people, not at them. Why do we need all of this effort? 86% of consumers prefer an authentic brand personality over a polished one. In short: Authenticity wins. Always. If your LinkedIn, Instagram, or website doesn’t feel “you,” it’s time for a change. Let’s fix it—without the fluff, without the fake. What do you think? Does your online presence truly reflect YOU? Or just a version you think people want to see? 🤔 DM me or book a call if you're ready to build a REAL personal brand. #PersonalBrandingExpert

Over the last 4 years, I've helped 150+ founders build profitable, influential & money-making brands on LinkedIn — in just 3 months! I know what you're thinking - "Sakshi, that's great, but I'm stuck. How do I do this?" Don't worry; I've got you covered. Here are 9 steps to build your LinkedIn personal brand in 90 days or less: 1/ Prove yourself through a killer headline: Don’t just say "Founder." Make your headline a mini-pitch that highlights what you do and who you help. Think: "I help professionals climb the career ladder through data-driven executive training in 70 days." 2/ Show your story through an irresistible About section: Talk directly to your audience. Share your journey, your mission, and how you can help them. Make it personal, not a boring resume summary. 3/ Post with a reason: Every post should have a goal—whether it’s sharing a lesson, inspiring your audience, or starting a conversation. Make sure it aligns with your overall brand. 4/ Get personal, get real: People love vulnerability. Share your failures and what you’ve learned along the way. It’ll make you more relatable and human. 5/ Engage as much as you can: Instead of just scrolling through your feed, spend 20 minutes daily leaving thoughtful comments. This builds stronger relationships than just likes and reactions. 6/ Show your face: Use photos and videos of yourself. A simple selfie with a quick story or insight can do wonders in making your brand more approachable. 7/ Build mini-content series: Break down complex topics into bite-sized posts that flow over a week. For example, "5 days of career tips for new professionals." This keeps people coming back for more. 8/ DM with value: Don’t just cold-pitch people. When you connect with someone, send them a personalised message with a genuine compliment or offer something useful. If it’s a pitch, try being direct in the 1st message itself. 9/ Track your progress: Use LinkedIn analytics and tools like Shield to monitor your post engagement and profile views. Adjust your strategy based on what resonates most with your audience. Now, here's something interesting: According to LinkedIn, members who post weekly on the platform are 5 times more likely to be contacted for new opportunities. That's the power of consistent branding! Let me share a quick story that might inspire you: When I started on LinkedIn, I was nervous about posting. But I remembered I once read: “The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” Alan Watts So, I took the plunge. My first post got only 3 likes, but I kept going. Six months later, I had my first viral post with over 1000 likes. That's when I realised - content isn’t the power, consistency is! Building a personal brand takes time and effort, but it's worth it. So, which of these steps will you start with today? #linkedinstrategy #personalbranding #entrepreneurtips #indianstartups

Staying true to yourself while climbing the career ladder isn't easy. But it's crucial. I've seen firsthand how a mismatch between personal values and company culture can lead to disaster. One individual, a quiet, process-oriented person, was overwhelmed by our fast-paced, energetic environment. He left within a month. I've also witnessed people trying to adapt to cultures that didn't suit them, suppressing their natural tendencies and feeling unfulfilled. The lesson? Find an organization where your values align. Seek a culture where your authentic self can as much shine. When you find that alignment, magic happens: • You'll contribute with passion and purpose. • You'll bring your best self to work. • You'll achieve true career growth. Don't compromise your authenticity for the sake of fitting in. Find the environment that allows you to thrive, both personally and professionally.

She was visible in the room but invisible online. A client said to me recently, “In person, people know who I am and what I bring. But online? You’d never know it.” And she was right. In person it was clear she had decades of credibility. She was the person people turned to when decisions needed to be made, things needed to get done, problems solved, or trust established. Her peers knew it. Her clients knew it. Her team knew it. But when someone Googled her, her LinkedIn profile came up, and the message simply didn’t match. 📉 A profile that undersold her expertise. 📉 Inconsistent or non-existent activity. 📉 A digital first impression that didn’t reflect the reputation she’d earned. And here is the challenge with this - people don’t separate offline from online anymore. ✨ The client meeting you tomorrow has already looked you up today. ✨ The board member you’re pitching to has already scanned your profile. ✨ The graduate considering your firm has already checked your team’s presence. ✨ The investor you’re meeting next week has already searched your name. ✨ The client referral you haven’t even met yet has already formed an impression. If your online presence doesn’t reflect your offline reputation, it creates disconnect before you even enter the room. “Are they really the expert?” “If their business is as strong as they say, why can’t I see it here?” You’ve worked too hard to be invisible. The good news? You don’t need constant posting or flashy campaigns to close that gap. What you need are the right foundations: ✔️ A profile that communicates value, not just a job title. ✔️ Consistent, purposeful activity that mirrors how you show up in person. ✔️ A digital presence that builds trust before the first handshake. Because your reputation shouldn’t depend on which version of you people happens to find first. Make sure the person people meet online is the same one they already trust in the room.

Personal branding beats company branding for D2C founders. Not because everyone on LinkedIn said so, but because the numbers don't lie. Your personal posts get way more reach than your company page.  LinkedIn's algorithm favors individuals over businesses. But here's the real reason it matters: Trust. When someone buys from a D2C brand, they're taking a risk.  No physical store. No established reputation.  Just a website and some reviews. If they can see the founder's face, read their thoughts, understand their why, suddenly it feels less risky. Look at successful D2C founders: →They're active on social →They share their journey openly →They respond to comments personally →They make mistakes publicly and own them Meanwhile, their competitors hide behind company pages and fancy photoshoots. Your story is the only thing competitors can't replicate. They can copy your product, undercut your price, steal your marketing angle. They can't copy being you. The compound effect is real too.  Build your personal brand now, and it follows you to every future venture. But most founders don't do this because: →They think it's "unprofessional" →They're scared of judgment →They don't know what to share →They think the product should speak for itself The product doesn't speak for itself. You do. Start sharing what you're building and why. The messy middle parts. The lessons learned. People connect with humans, not brands. P.S. If you're a founder who wants a personal brand with serious ROI, DM me "BRAND” and let's talk. I help founders build personal brands that directly drive revenue growth.

People think dressing well at work is about vanity. It isn't. It's about the read someone makes on your level before you've said one word, and that read is happening whether you dressed for it or not. I've walked into rooms and known who the most senior person was before anyone spoke, and it was almost never about who spent the most. It was about who understood what their clothes were showing. 1️⃣ A blazer that actually fits your shoulders. Forget the price tag. A blazer that fits makes you look polished and in control. 2️⃣ A real coat. It's the first thing people notice before you've even taken it off. A great coat sets the tone. 3️⃣ Shoes you keep immaculate. Even the best outfit looks less polished with worn, scuffed shoes. 4️⃣ A structured bag instead of a logo bag. A clean tote reads more senior because it doesn't rely on a label. 5️⃣ One understated piece of real jewelry. A watch or simple gold studs signal quality better than a pile of costume pieces. 6️⃣ Tailored trousers in a neutral. Black, navy, or camel always look polished and intentional. 7️⃣ A white shirt that closes without gaping. Crisp and properly fitted, it projects competence before you speak. None of this is about spending more or chasing trends. It's about understanding that in corporate, you're being read before you're being heard, and making that first impression work in your favor. Comment ELITE and I'll send you The Elite Edge, my no fluff newsletter on the signals that actually move your career. #corporatefashion #workwear #executivepresence #careeradvice #womeninbusiness
