🧰 Track record

Co-led large-scale AWS → GCP migrations. Owned Kafka platform engineering through vendor transitions (Confluent Cloud → MSK → Confluent Cloud with private networking), including Schema Registry and MirrorMaker2/Replicator during cutover windows. Ran SOC 2 evidence programs across multiple audit cycles, supported public-company readiness and SOX preparation, and contributed to PCI programs in HIPAA-certified environments. Led disaster recovery with explicit RTO/RPO targets. As CTO of a digital-signage company, led a zero-downtime migration to the cloud.

Day to day: Terraform and Terragrunt, AWS, Kubernetes and EKS, Kafka, CI/CD, GitHub, incident response, infrastructure guardrails, cost management, and the messy operational details that never show up in clean conference demos.

Before infrastructure, radio — college station, a major-market DC morning show, then evenings on Key 103.1. Live timing, reading a room, and staying composed when things break on air.
