“You asked for it.” Ian snorts, waiting for Mickey to situate himself before he reaches down for their duvet and pulls the wrinkled thing up over them both. “Pretty sure you begged for it, actually…”
“Fuck off, man.” Mickey chuckles his way through the warning as Ian’s arms snake around his torso and drag him in. He can feel every muscle aching, but Christ was it worth it. “I had ya right where I wanted ya.”
Ian laughs, nuzzling into the crook of Mickey’s neck. “Yeah, I bet you did.”

Summary
Ian is an Irish born hoodlum living in the hostile Southside of Chicago of the 1920s under the rule of the Italian-American Chicago Outfit. One day, during a normal night’s work in the Il Cavallo Bianco, he catches the attention of his new boss Mickey. Mickey quickly finds out just how useful it is to have an Irish bodyguard in Chicago during the prohibition. After a rum run goes south, Ian’s life will be turned upside down once again when Mickey has to lay low in the Gallagher residence.
