Change reel audience overview

You can change the audience of individual reels at any time. Here’s how:

Change the audience of a reel

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook, then click your name.
  2. Go to the reel post you'd like to change.
  3. Click the audience selector at the top of the post (example: Public).
  4. Choose an audience for your reel.

Available audiences

  • Public: Anyone, including people off of Facebook, can see your reel.
  • Friends: Only your friends on Facebook can see your reel.
  • Friends except: Your friends on Facebook, except for the friends you choose, can see your reel.
  • Only me: Only you can see the reel.
  • Specific friends: Only the friends you choose can see the reel.
  • Custom: You can create a custom audience based on your preference.
Note: You can only change the privacy settings for reels you have added to Facebook.
